The Lions District 16-N Charitable Foundation was originally known as the District 16A Charitable Foundation - was founded in 1971 and has proudly awarded over $800,000 dollars in grants! Grant requests are accepted from all State Sight, Non–Sight and Club-sponsored Projects for tangible items that can benefi t many people. We do not provide grants to individuals, for salaries, operating expenses or intangible items.

VISION SCREENING PROGRAM

In support of the Lions Clubs International "Kid Sight Program” the Foundation has purchased 3 SPOT Vision Screeners to be used for screening of Amblyopia and other eye disorders. A Foundation Committee oversees the Program that allows the use of the Screeners by Lions Clubs encompassed within our District to be able to offer this service within their Communities.
